ATTAIN INSIGHT
The 200 Hour Training Program is not only for students who wish to teach yoga but for dedicated students who wish to deepen their practice and further their understanding of yoga. Our approach to the practice is classical, yet multi-dimensional. We invite students to discover new associations and inspire them to practice and teach from a place of creativity, adaptability and metaphorical imagination. Students are empowered to tap into their greatest potential in order to teach yoga from a place of their own inner strength . . . to “attain insight” or “prajna.” Rather than a prescription for how to teach a given system of yoga, this in-depth study is an invitation to cultivate a language of yoga that articulates the body in asana and pranayama and explores the poetry, sutra study, myths, and chanting.
Within the foundational teachings of Session I, II and III, you will also study:
- How to cultivate mindfulness training
- How to align the energetics of chakras
- Therapeutic applications for health conditions and injuries
- How to release myo-fascial meridians that can restrict motion
- Anatomical studies for correct alignment in asanas and pranayama
- How to use mobilization techniques to free your anatomical structures
- Reading student’s bodies to assess proper alignment and hands-on adjustment
From the three workshops, you will learn:
- Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras to deepen your understanding in yoga philosophy with Nicolai Bachman
- How to teach prenatal and postpartum yoga with Linda Spackman
- Nutrition for individual needs and yoga practice with Surya Little
