Awakening Beginner’s Mind
Tias begins his talk with a koan, where the teaching lies in the question … What? When we begin to embody the dharma we go back to the freshness of “what?” In the beginning of our practice, there is a structure that eventually is let go of and what is left is a readiness, or a freshness that can’t be choreographed. We begin to realize that our experiences are passing like bubbles. Beginner’s mind is about staying open to whatever arises. “Now” is continuous and ongoing.
